Music and Worship Arts B.A: Ministry Leadership Concentration
The BA in Music and Worship Arts with concentration in Ministry Leadership is designed for students called to serve as worship pastors, ministry leaders, and creative change-makers in the Church and broader faith communities.
This program blends rigorous musical training with biblical and pastoral leadership studies, preparing you to lead worship teams, design meaningful experiences, and foster spiritual growth through music.
- Literacy: Demonstrate fluency in foundational musicianship skills including music theory, aural skills, sight-reading, knowledge of worship repertoire and diverse musical styles, competency in music technology, and functional keyboard and ensemble skills applicable to worship ministry, pastoral leadership, and church ministry settings.
- Performance: Demonstrate proficiency in musical, pastoral, and organizational leadership through participation in worship ministry contexts, applied study on a primary instrument or voice, and the planning and leadership of worship experiences marked by effective communication, spiritual maturity, shepherding, and collaborative ministry practices.
- Faith and Learning: Articulate and apply a biblically grounded philosophy of worship, pastoral care, and church leadership that integrates faith, musical excellence, discipleship, preaching and communication principles, spiritual formation, servant leadership, and the shepherding of individuals and congregations within diverse ministry contexts.
- Diversity: Demonstrate awareness and understanding of diverse worship traditions, ministry practices, and global expressions of sacred music and church life, including their theological, historical, social, and cultural significance within the broader Christian community.
