FEDERAL STUDENT AID REGULATORY CHANGES

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA), enacted on July 4, 2025, amended Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and established significant changes to federal student aid eligibility, borrowing limits, and repayment provisions, effective July 1, 2026. The information provided in this section reflects current federal law and guidance available at the time of publication. As additional guidance is issued by the U.S. Department of Education, Vanguard University reserves the right to update its policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable federal regulations. Students with questions regarding these changes or their financial aid eligibility should contact the Office of Financial Aid.

FINANCIAL AID FRAUD

Any fraudulent use of financial aid funds is cause for immediate suspension or dismissal, as well as discontinuance of future financial aid. This includes, but is not limited to, fraudulent statements on financial aid forms, tax documents and student worker timesheets for both hours worked and approval obtained.
